Kitchen Assistant

Key Responsibilities
Assist chefs with basic food preparation (chopping, measuring, portioning).
Prepare vegetables, meats, and stews under guidance.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace at all times.
Wash dishes, kitchen tools, and equipment as required.
Assist with packing takeaway orders and plating dine-in meals.
Follow food safety standards and Sinq Foods’ health-conscious guidelines (gluten-free, MSG-free, clean oils).
Restock ingredients and supplies.
Support the team during busy periods, events, and catering orders.
Skills & Experience
Previous kitchen experience preferred, but training will be provided.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
Team-oriented, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency.
Requirements
Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Availability on weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10kg.
