Kitchen Assistant

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation (chopping, measuring, portioning).

  • Prepare vegetables, meats, and stews under guidance.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace at all times.

  • Wash dishes, kitchen tools, and equipment as required.

  • Assist with packing takeaway orders and plating dine-in meals.

  • Follow food safety standards and Sinq Foods’ health-conscious guidelines (gluten-free, MSG-free, clean oils).

  • Restock ingredients and supplies.

  • Support the team during busy periods, events, and catering orders.

Skills & Experience
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but training will be provided.

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.

  • Understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling practices.

  • Team-oriented, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.

  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency.

Requirements
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

  • Availability on weekdays, weekends, and evenings.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10kg.
